I am running for Gig Harbor City Council because...
Building on my experience on the Gig Harbor Parks Commission, I am committed to managing growth and its impact, protecting our historic downtown, and creating an open, transparent government that listens to its citizens.
Gig Harbor has been growing at a rapid pace. Traffic congestion is increasing, and the infrastructure is not keeping up. We need council members who support a smart, balanced approach to development that adheres to established zoning rules and preserves the character of our downtown and its maritime heritage. We must also engage the community in the decision-making process.
I live in Gig Harbor North, an area experiencing the brunt of development. My wife Julie and I were drawn to Gig Harbor because of the city’s natural beauty and friendliness. The rest of our family, including two grandchildren, has joined us here, making the city’s future even more important to us.
Currently, we have no representation on City Council. I will provide a voice for my Northside neighbors. I would be honored to serve my entire community and ask for your vote.
